Description

THIS PROFILE IS ACCURATE AS OF FIVE YEARS BEFORE RAZOR KID #1.
******

Scott Willow

Age: 15
Birthday: February 13th
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 122 lbs.
Trivia: About one-third of the scars on Scott's body are self-inflicted, remnants of the time when his body was slowly losing its ability to feel.

Scott Willow is one of Dr. Malone's success stories in the Sons of Nowhere. Like so many others, Scott was a child lost in the shattered dreams of the so-called City of Ashes. Despite having no powers of his own, Scott was hand-picked by Dr. Malone after she saw him beat a paranormal boy nearly to death over a scrap of moldy pizza.

She offered the starving youngster a chance to leave the dead husk of a city and an opportunity to gain power beyond his dreams. Scott readily accepted. Over the next five years, Dr. Malone would experiment mercilessly on Scott's body. In time, she succeeded in granting him enough invulnerability to withstand a shotgun blast without injury, a crushing form of telekinesis, and the ability to fly. All of these abilities, however, came with a price.

As his powers developed, Scott's body became more resistant to pain. At first, this seemed a boon, but it soon became apparent that his body was, in fact, growing completely numb. Eventually, Scott resorted to stabbing himself and scarring his flesh to experience what was, ironically, the only feeling his body could understand anymore: pain. In the end, even pain was robbed from him.

Scott cares very much for his comrades and for Dr. Malone, taking a somewhat paternal role to the younger members of the Sons of Nowhere. This tendency is most pronounced in his attitude towards the thirteen-year-old Ratt. His manner is that of a class clown when not in battle, though he treads lightly around particular sensitivities, such as Ratt's insecurity with his four-toed feet. When in battle, he emerges as a decisive leader and surprisingly good team player, correctly assessing a situation at a moment's notice and placing his teammates where they will do the most damage.
