Eye Template Process by FooRay Eye Template Process by FooRay
Ive been asked several times about line art ive posted having no iris or pupils drawn in. So in order to have something to show people as a reference ive created this short and sweet process mock up of what I do.

if you have any questions feel free to ask them here in the comments or on blogtv whenever im doing a live show.

hope ya dig.

Wow, awesome! Cool to see how you do it. I just got photoshop, but still haven't gotten a wacom tablet, so it's kind of useless at this point. Still, it's cool to see how you do eyes! I bet I could even imitate your technique using traditional methods. :)

How? (My guess would be a transparency locked circle that underwent noise and a radial blur, but there might be more to it than that)

Already trying... doubt I can make it work as well as you do, but hell can't be any worse than my normal product.

Thanks for the info. It's a great technique and gives good depth and dimension to the eyes.

Ah.. you do the Felle trick.
Try just coloring the pupils in BLACK and then adding the iris and highlights. It's what I resorted to.

He does the same thing. Except yours aren't just huge circles like he does. A lot of things work, EXCEPT THAT SHADING YOU DO ON BELOW THE CHEST! /shakes fist

I've been begging you for HOW long to do a tutorial? Was I not annoying enough? X3 JK, I'm just remembering how much I kept poking you to make tutorials of how you draw (when we hung out in Seattle years ago) no matter how many times you politely tried to explain "There's no one way that I draw, so I don't really know what to tell anyone..." "Just show us all the ways you draw!" "Uh Beka..." X3
